I absolutely hate how registrars work in favor of domain squatters against their own customers. I also hate how a third party cannot pay money for the domain to stay with the current owner. (This would prevent so much stupid takeovers. Heck, the same could be done for hosting to, allowing for websites with no owner to exist in peace.)
Let's wait and see what happens.
I can chip in with hosting and domain if necessary. I have a half-empty VPS, but I'm afraid I don't have much time for support.
Also, if this is ohpeewon's new home, I wouldn't run wild with subboards. IMO, subboards should be introduced when a single board becomes too overwhelming. Otherwise they just look stale and make it harder for people to stay up-to-date on the messages.

I cannot see it. And yeah, I'm just screwing around with this forum stuff, nothing's even close to permanent until we know what is going on with ohpeewon.com and JP  I cleared cache, used a different browser, and still get the GoDaddy park page. |

I thought about mirroring the contents of ohpeewon.com when we had problems with the site a few months back, but when JP finally replied I thought it's not necessary. Now I kinda hope that I had... =( I posted the link to this forum to the OP-1 subreddit also: www.reddit.com/r/OP1users/. |

I don't understand what is going on...
Every now and then I receive email notification about some posts made on ohpeewon.com, then when I go to see the post, the sire. is down! It seems that it reappeared once after the domain expiration, which would indicate that the domain was renewed, so why would it disappear again after that?

Thanks @krism for setting this up!!!!! I was all set to announce the winner of Battle 23 today. Oh well. We'll get back to that at some point, when the new home is resolved. Personally, I hope TE takes over, but I can understand them not wanting to moderate it and not wanting to have an unmoderated board under their banner. It's a double edged sword for sure.

I'm having a little luck with the Wayback Machine, but unfortunately the last time it crawled ohpeewon was in January =/
Better than nothing, if JP is indeed gone.
Generally, it takes a modification to the robots.txt to exclude a site from the Wayback Machine's web crawler.
